1. Identify Your Unique Forwarding Address in SparkReceipt
💡 Pro tip
Save your personal SparkReceipt forwarding address to your email contacts. Most email clients will then automatically suggest the address when you forward receipts, making the process faster and easier.
1. Find Your Personal Forwarding Address
Each SparkReceipt workspace has a unique email address that you can use to forward e-receipts.
You can find your personal forwarding address in the app under Main menu → Email documents. We recommend saving this address to your email contacts so it’s easy to find when forwarding receipts later.
When you forward an e-receipt to this address, SparkReceipt will automatically scan and add it to your account. Both email attachments and receipts embedded directly in the email body are supported.

💡 Pro tip (Gmail)
Use Gmail filters to automatically forward receipts to your SparkReceipt address. Create a filter using the sender’s email address and keywords like receipt, invoice, or order confirmation in the subject line.
Why this works well:
Most merchants use consistent sender addresses and subject formats, making Gmail filters reliable and easy to maintain.
Outlook (Microsoft Outlook / Exchange)
💡 Pro tip (Outlook)
Set up a rule in Outlook to forward emails from specific senders (such as billing or invoicing addresses) directly to your SparkReceipt forwarding address.

Combine sender-based rules with subject keywords to avoid forwarding non-receipt emails.

💡 Pro tip (iCloud Mail)

Auto-forwarding rules must be created on iCloud.com, not directly in the Apple Mail app.

💡 Pro tip (Yahoo Mail)
Create filters in Yahoo Mail to forward receipts from specific merchants to your SparkReceipt forwarding address automatically.
Verification Emails
Some email providers require verification of the forwarding address. If so, the verification email will be sent to your SparkReceipt address and appear in the Documents section of the app. Follow the instructions in that email to complete the setup.
Important: Use Filters Carefully
Always use filters when enabling auto-forwarding. Without filters, you may accidentally forward your entire inbox to SparkReceipt.
A good filter usually includes:
A specific sender address (e.g.
[email protected])A subject contains rule (e.g. “Your receipt” or “Invoice”)
Most merchants use consistent sender addresses and subject lines, making this easy to set up and reliable over time.
