How Large Can Uploaded Documents Be in SparkReceipt?

You can upload documents up to 25 MB per file to SparkReceipt — across all supported upload methods (mobile app, desktop, or email).

What File Formats Are Supported in SparkReceipt?

✅ Supported Formats:

  • PDF

  • Images: JPG, PNG, HEIC (iPhone), WebP

  • Spreadsheets: CSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls)

  • Text Documents: Word (.docx), HTML

  • Other standard document and image formats

🛑 Password-protected PDFs (like some bank statements) must be unlocked before uploading, or they won’t be processed correctly.

📥 Step-by-Step Checklist: Uploading a Document to SparkReceipt

✅ For Mobile App (e.g., receipt photo or scanned doc)

  1. Open the SparkReceipt mobile app

  2. Tap “Add Document”

  3. Choose “Take photo” or “Upload file”

  4. Select or capture your document

  5. Tap “Save” — AI will auto-scan and categorize

  6. (Optional) Add tags or categories

✅ For Desktop (single file)

  1. Log in to the SparkReceipt web app

  2. Click “Add Document”

  3. Choose a file (PDF, image, Excel, etc.)

  4. Upload and review the preview

  5. Confirm and assign tags/categories if needed

  6. File is scanned and added to your account

✅ For Desktop (mass upload)

  1. Go to the “Mass Upload” section

  2. Select up to 100 files

  3. Drag and drop or choose from your folders

  4. Review and upload

  5. Files will be scanned in background

  6. Check results in the Inbox or Business Documents

✅ For Email Forwarding

  1. Find your unique SparkReceipt email address (in settings)

  2. Forward your email receipt or document to it

  3. SparkReceipt will extract and categorize automatically

  4. You’ll see it appear in your Inbox within minutes

  5. (Optional) Review and assign tags
