Where to find the receipt or invoice for your SparkReceipt purchase depends on which payment channel processed it. Web purchases (Paddle and Stripe) are managed inside the SparkReceipt web app's billing portal. App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and Google Play purchases are handled by Google — for those, SparkReceipt does not store or issue the receipt itself.
If you're not sure which channel charged you, check your Subscription & Billing page in the SparkReceipt web app: the page tells you which platform manages your subscription.
Web purchases (Paddle and Stripe)
For subscriptions and one-time purchases made through the SparkReceipt website, your past invoices are available in the billing portal that Paddle or Stripe hosts on our behalf.
- Sign in to the SparkReceipt web app at app.sparkreceipt.com.
- Open Account settings from the left-hand sidebar.
- Open the Subscription & Billing tab.
- Find the Current subscription section and click the link to your billing portal:
- On a Stripe-managed subscription the link reads Manage your subscription.
- On a Paddle-managed subscription the link reads Open billing portal.
- The portal opens in a new tab. From there you can download past invoices and receipts as PDF, update your payment method, and change your billing details.
The Subscription & Billing page is only visible to administrators of the account. If you don't see it, ask the account owner to download the receipt for you, or to grant you admin access first.
The billing portal link is only available for active paid Paddle or Stripe subscriptions. If your subscription was redeemed with a coupon code (for example AppSumo), or is managed by Apple or Google, the portal link is hidden — see the channel-specific sections below.
App Store purchases (iOS, Apple ID)
If you subscribed or made a one-time purchase from inside the iPhone or iPad app, the charge went through your Apple ID and Apple — not SparkReceipt — issues the receipt. There are three ways to retrieve it.
Option 1 — The email Apple sent you
Apple emails a receipt to the address on file for your Apple ID after every App Store purchase or subscription renewal. Search your inbox (including the spam folder) for messages from do_not_reply@apple.com with a subject line like "Your receipt from Apple" or "Your invoice from Apple". This is usually the fastest option for a single charge.
Option 2 — reportaproblem.apple.com (recommended for older purchases)
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID that made the purchase.
- You'll see a list of your recent purchases. Find the SparkReceipt charge.
- Click the Order ID at the top of the entry to open the full invoice, which you can save or print as a PDF.
- If you'd rather have Apple email you a fresh copy, use the Resend link to send the invoice to the address on your Apple ID.
Option 3 — Purchase History on your device
- On iPhone or iPad: open the App Store app, tap your profile photo (or the Sign In button) at the top, then tap Purchase History. Use the date range filter at the top if the charge isn't recent.
- On a Mac: open the App Store app, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, choose Account Settings, then under Purchase History click See All.
If you can't find the receipt through any of the above, contact Apple Support — they're the only party that can re-issue an App Store invoice. SparkReceipt cannot generate one on Apple's behalf.
Google Play purchases (Android)
If you subscribed or made a one-time purchase from inside the Android app, the charge went through your Google account and Google — not SparkReceipt — issues the receipt. You have a couple of ways to get it.
Option 1 — The email Google sent you
Google emails a receipt to your Google account address after every Play Store purchase and subscription renewal. Search your inbox for messages from googleplay-noreply@google.com referencing SparkReceipt. The email contains the order number and a printable receipt.
Option 2 — Your Google Play order history
You can also pull the receipt from your order history at any time:
- On the web: go to play.google.com, click your profile icon in the top right, then Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history. Find the SparkReceipt charge and open it to view the order details and receipt.
- In the Play Store app: tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history. Tap the SparkReceipt charge to view its receipt.
If you need a tax invoice with custom business details, or you can't find a charge in your order history, contact Google Play support — Google is the merchant of record for these purchases and SparkReceipt cannot re-issue an invoice on Google's behalf.
Which channel is mine?
Open Account settings → Subscription & Billing in the SparkReceipt web app and look at the Current subscription section. If the subscription is managed by Apple or Google, you'll see a note that says it is managed by the App Store or Google Play, with a link out to the relevant store — that's also a quick confirmation of which channel to use from the sections above. Subscriptions without that note, but with a billing portal link, are on Stripe or Paddle.
