What types of receipts and documents does SparkReceipt support?

Taking photos of receipts and invoices is just one of several ways to upload documents. SparkReceipt supports a wide range of document types and upload methods, capture and store receipts and financial documents however it’s most convenient for you.

SparkReceipt supports multiple document formats and upload methods—taking photos or paper receipts is just one option.

Supported Document Types

SparkReceipt works with:

  • Physical receipts (photos taken with the mobile app)

  • PDF receipts

  • Email receipts (forwarded directly to SparkReceipt)

  • CSV files

  • Excel files

  • Word documents

  • HTML files

    + Others such as HEIF IMAGE

CSV, Excel, Word, and HTML files are most commonly used in the Business Documents & Bank Statements section of the app rather than for individual receipts.


Ways to Upload Receipts & Documents

There are four ways to upload receipts and other documents to SparkReceipt:

  1. Mobile App
    Scan physical receipts using your phone’s camera.

  2. Desktop Browser Application (Single Upload)
    Upload documents one by one from your computer.

  3. Desktop Browser Application (Mass Upload)
    Upload up to 100 documents at once using the Mass Upload feature.

  4. Email Forwarding
    Forward receipts from your email inbox to your personal SparkReceipt inbound email address.
