Does SparkReceipt integrate with bank accounts automatically?

Yes — you can connect a bank or credit-card account so transactions import automatically (currently in beta), or upload statements and SparkReceipt extracts the transactions. Both feed the same reconciliation view.

Yes. You can connect a bank or credit-card account to SparkReceipt so your transactions import automatically — no downloading and uploading statements. You authorize the connection once through our bank-linking partner (Stripe Financial Connections), and from then on new transactions flow into your Transaction Manager on their own, where they're categorized and matched against your receipts.

Automatic bank connections are live today and labeled Beta in the app while we keep refining them. They support US bank and credit-card accounts, and SparkReceipt only ever gets read access to your transactions and balances — it can't move money, and it never sees your bank login. Setting up a connection is done by an administrator or accountant on the account. For the step-by-step, see Connect a bank account for automatic transaction imports.

Prefer to upload statements?

You don't have to connect an account. You can still upload a bank statement as a PDF, CSV, or Excel file, and SparkReceipt automatically starts extracting the transactions for you — no need to trigger anything. Extracted transactions are then matched against your receipts and invoices. This works with any bank; see Bank statement extraction: the complete guide.

Bank connections live under Integrations, which only administrators and accountants can open, so if you don't see the option to connect an account you're likely signed in as a member without that access — ask an administrator on your account to set it up. You can upload statements yourself in the meantime, whatever your role.
