File Format and Max File Size for Upload

How Large Can Uploaded Documents Be in SparkReceipt?

You can upload documents up to 24 MB per file to SparkReceipt — across every upload method (mobile app, web app, a connected mailbox via automatic email scanning, or email forwarding).

In the mobile and web apps, SparkReceipt now checks each file's size the moment you pick it, so if a file is over the limit you're told right away — by name — before any upload starts.

What File Formats Are Supported in SparkReceipt?

✅ Supported Formats:

  • PDF

  • Images: JPG, PNG, HEIC (iPhone), WebP

  • Spreadsheets: CSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls)

  • Text Documents: Word (.docx), HTML

  • Other standard document and image formats

🛑 Password-protected PDFs (like some bank statements) must be unlocked before uploading , or they won’t be processed correctly.
