The current prices for SparkReceipt Pro and SparkReceipt Elite are on our pricing page: sparkreceipt.com/pricing. It shows both plans, billed monthly or yearly (annual), in your local currency. What your own subscription costs, and the date it renews, is in the web app under Account settings → Subscription & Billing.

We don't type prices into help articles. They differ by currency, by billing period and by where you buy (our website, the App Store or Google Play), and they change from time to time, so a number written here would soon be wrong for someone.

What the price depends on

  • The plan. Pro and Elite. The pricing page lists what each one includes.
  • Monthly or yearly billing. Yearly billing costs less per month and is charged once a year for the whole year. The plan dialog in the app shows how much you save with yearly billing.
  • How many users you pay for. The plan price covers one user and each extra user adds a fee per user. Your accountant joins free and never takes a paid seat.
  • Tax. Prices on the pricing page exclude VAT or GST. Tax for your country is added at checkout, and the plan dialog says Final price confirmed at checkout.
  • Where you buy. Subscriptions bought on our website are billed by our payment provider, Paddle. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone or Android app are billed by Apple or Google at the price set in their store. See Why is the price in the app store different from the website? below.

What is the difference between Pro and Elite?

In short, Pro covers a monthly allowance of documents shared by the whole account, one live bank feed and one connected email inbox. Elite has no monthly document limit under fair use, extracts line items from every receipt, and allows several inboxes and bank feeds. It also adds AI Fields, plain-English AI rules and extra export templates. The pricing page keeps the full, current comparison.

Your own plan's limits (documents per month, monthly credits, seats) are on your Subscription & Billing page under Usage.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Pro and Elite bought on our website start with a free trial. See How does the free trial work, and can I extend it?

There is no separate "demo" version of Elite. The free trial is how you try it.

What is the Founder pack?

The Founder pack is Elite billed yearly together with hands-on onboarding sessions with one of our founders, who sets up your inboxes, categories and integrations with you. It is charged as a one-time onboarding fee on top of the yearly Elite price. When it's offered for your account, it appears as its own option in the plan dialog with the button Get the Founder pack. It is yearly only and has no free trial.

How much does my current subscription cost, and when is my next payment?

In the web app, open Account settings → Subscription & Billing. Under Current subscription you see:

  • your plan's name and its status (Active, Trial, Overdue or Expired),
  • the price of the plan for the seats you bought, per month or per year,
  • Valid until and a date. For a subscription that renews, this is the end of the current billing period, which is when your next payment is due.

The exact amounts you were charged, including tax and any discount, are on your invoices. Open them with Open billing portal (Paddle) or Manage your subscription (Stripe) on the same page. See How to find the receipt or invoice for your SparkReceipt subscription.

The Subscription & Billing page is visible to the account's Admins and Owner, and to Accountants whose Accountant permissions are set to Admin. If you don't see it, see Why does my account still show Trial, Free or a payment problem after I paid?

If you subscribed in the iPhone or Android app, the web page shows that the subscription is managed by the App Store or Google Play. The price and the next renewal date are in your Apple or Google subscription settings:

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → SparkReceipt.
  • Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SparkReceipt.

Why was I charged a different amount than the website shows?

The pricing page shows the list price for one user before tax. The amount on your invoice can differ for these reasons:

  • Extra seats. Each seat beyond the one included is charged on top of the plan price.
  • Tax. VAT, GST or sales tax for your country is added at checkout.
  • Yearly billing. A yearly plan is charged for the whole year at once. The pricing page also shows yearly plans as a monthly equivalent.
  • A different plan or currency. Check whether you're on Pro or Elite, and which currency the invoice is in.
  • A plan change during the billing period. Upgrades and seat changes are charged as a prorated difference. See How do I upgrade to Elite or change my plan?
  • App Store or Google Play. Store prices are set separately from the website.

Your invoice lists each line (plan, seats, tax, discount). If it still doesn't add up, send the invoice to support@sparkreceipt.com from the email address on your account and we'll go through it with you. If you were charged when you didn't expect it, see How to request a refund.

Why is the price in the app store different from the website?

Apple and Google set subscription prices for each country in their own stores, and their prices include the store's own fees and local taxes. Website subscriptions are billed by Paddle at the prices on our pricing page, with tax added at checkout. So the same plan can cost a different amount depending on where you buy it.

You can choose where to pay. To move an App Store or Google Play subscription to web billing:

  1. Turn off renewal in the App Store or Google Play first. Your plan keeps working until the period you've paid for ends.
  2. In the web app, open Account settings → Subscription & Billing. Once the store subscription is no longer renewing, the page shows Switch to web billing.
  3. Pick your plan and pay. You won't lose access in between.

Do you have discounts?

Discount codes are entered in the plan dialog before you pay. See How to place a discount code?
